Food is Life print

$25.00

A4 risograph print

I wanted to reference places in the world using food as symbols of the areas that currently and historically that have had access to food weaponised because of genocide and conflict. Sorghum in Sudan, olives in Palestine, Taro in Myanmar, potatoes in Ireland, Murnong (yam daisy) in so called Australia, also maize and rice being an important staple for lots of communities.

Sales of this print (excluding postage) will be a split donation between the Sameer Project for Palestine, Khartoum Aid Kitchen in Sudan, Rohingya Maìyafuìnor Collaborative Network and First Nations Response in Australia.

The print will be printed and restocked accordingly and the print run itself will not exist as a limited run but be available for the foreseeable future to ensure the continuation of donations.

Because of the nature of riso printing each print is slightly different with layers in slightly different alignment (but that’s why I like them I think it adds to the charm and I hope you do too!)

Thank you in advance for your support :)
